The Tavern is closed from 12 October to 3 November 2026: it becomes part of Le Donjon Maudit, our Halloween experience. Our 8 escape rooms remain open as usual.
A medieval bar hidden in Paris
Near Place de la République, the Tavern of Le Donjon serves medieval drinks in a setting of stone, wood and candlelight: Round Table potions, mead, hypocras and an alcohol-free Élixir de Paris. It opens to the public from Friday to Sunday, and can be hired privately all week.
Private hire prices
Per hour, including VAT, drinks and food extra. From 30 guests, the price includes two tavern keepers and a doorman.

The Tavern: frequently asked questions
When is the Tavern open to the public?
From Friday to Sunday (from around 4 pm on Saturdays), subject to staff availability and private events. Call us during the week of your visit to check it will be open.
Can I book a table?
Yes, table bookings open one week in advance. From 15 guests at the same time, the Tavern must be hired privately, even on opening days.
What can we drink?
Medieval drinks: Round Table potions (beer-based), mead, hypocras, and the Élixir de Paris, alcohol-free.
How many people can the Tavern host?
Up to 50 standing guests (25 seated) in the Tavern alone, and up to 100 people at the same time by combining it with game sessions in our escape rooms.
Can we eat during a private hire?
Yes, with a buffet from our partner caterers (from €17.60 per person), homemade sharing boards or your own caterer (€3 corkage per person). There are no seated meals.
