Le Donjon Maudit: Halloween at Le Donjon
Created in 2022, Le Donjon Maudit puts a curse on Le Donjon for a few October nights. Around ten actors bring its creatures to life in a one-hour immersive journey, near Place de la République in Paris.
The 2026 edition
Le Donjon Maudit returns for its 4th edition on 16, 17, 23, 24, 28, 29, 30 and 31 October 2026, with sessions from 9:30 pm to 1 am. Places are limited.
The story
Since the arrest of the Knights Templar on Friday 13 October 1307, a curse has fallen upon Paris. Disease is spreading through the Faubourg du Temple. Only a mysterious alchemist count, hidden deep in his dungeon, holds a cure: the philosopher’s stone.
Your mission: enter the heart of his cursed lair, escape its last occupants and, above all, steal the stone.
Not a classic escape room
Le Donjon Maudit is a journey of about one hour, moving from encounter to encounter among the creatures that haunt Le Donjon. Every session is private: you only share it with your own group of 3 to 8 players. It is the creatures of the Banquet of Monsters, which closed the 2025 edition, that you will meet one by one.

Unlike a conventional escape room, the actors are not limited to an introduction or a hint: they embody the story throughout the route. Expect close encounters, dark spaces and sudden sound and lighting effects.

Frequently asked questions
How frightening is Le Donjon Maudit?
Le Donjon Maudit is suitable from age 12. Rather than intense horror, we chose to showcase a beautiful route brought to life by actors, who take the time to interact with visitors instead of constantly chasing them. The Halloween atmosphere is still there: dim light, close encounters and a few sudden sound or lighting effects. As it is not a traditional escape room, we do not give it a numerical fear rating comparable with our permanent rooms.
What do the actors do?
Around ten actors bring the inhabitants of Le Donjon to life. They welcome, guide, surprise and confront each private group throughout the story; they are central to the experience, not simply part of the scenery.
Is it a classic escape room?
No. The experience focuses on exploration, live encounters and atmosphere rather than a succession of puzzles. You move through a story for about one hour with your own group.
Is the route accessible to people with reduced mobility?
The route is not adapted for reduced mobility: it may include stairs, narrow passages, dark areas and physical movement. Contact us before booking so that we can discuss your needs and any adjustments that may be possible.
Can I take part while pregnant or with a particular sensitivity?
We advise against the experience for pregnant people and for people with epilepsy, acute claustrophobia, heart conditions or reduced mobility because of the lighting and sound effects, narrow passages and close encounters with the actors. If in doubt, contact us before booking.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes and footwear suitable for walking through an immersive route. Choose clothes that will not be a concern if they encounter dust, rubbing or light marks.
What happens if we are late?
Come at the exact time shown on your booking; there is no need to arrive early. A delay may shorten the experience, and after 15 minutes we can no longer guarantee admission. A session lost because of lateness remains payable.
