On 4 February 2026, the French specialist site Polygamer published its review of Witches! A World to Save, which opened on 30 June 2025. Its verdict: the room joins the “Incontournables” category, the escape rooms its reviewers recommend without reservation. It is the first time a Le Donjon adventure has made the list.

Five rooms reviewed, one steady climb

Polygamer has been following Le Donjon for several years. Its reviewers had already played The Cursed Lovers, The Alchemist, The Crypt and The Asylum, all placed in the “Excellent” category. With Witches!, we reach the top tier of their ranking of Paris escape rooms. For them, the room now belongs among

“those rare escape rooms you absolutely have to play.” (translated from French)

What the reviewers loved

The sets came first, starting with the welcome area: the reviewers describe “enchanting” details, lighting and projections more magical than in our other rooms, and sound effects that accompany the whole mission. Then the puzzles: one of them writes that their flow is “a model of its kind”. And finally the game master, who followed the team all the way, improvisations included.

Wooden dungeon door and iron bars, with a skeleton reaching through
The Inquisition’s dungeons

Their conclusion means a lot to us. Polygamer felt that only very strong themes, such as horror, could create truly memorable experiences. For them, Witches! proves otherwise:

“A light theme can also cast a spell on us and give us a wonderful time.” (translated from French)

A different chapter in Le Donjon’s world

Witches! was our first step into fantasy. Players discover the Belladone Coven and must recover the Black Stone, the source of all magic, stolen by the inquisitor Kramer. The adventure also reveals a hidden side of Léa, the Count’s lost love, who connects our rooms to one another.

It is also our first 75-minute adventure, designed to leave more room for exploration and for interactions with the game master. We will build on this approach in our eighth adventure, coming in 2026.

Witches! at a glance

  • 75-minute adventure for 2 to 6 players
  • Intermediate difficulty, fear level 1.5/5
  • Meeting point in front of Passage Vendôme, 3 Place de la République
