Room Escape Artist is a US website specialising in escape rooms and immersive experiences. Its team played three Le Donjon adventures during a visit to Paris. The three reviews were published between 14 August and 7 September 2026.

Witches!: praise for the sets

The first review covers Witches!. According to Room Escape Artist, while Le Donjon takes great care with the sets of all its adventures, this one “took it to the next level”:

“Each and every scene of this game was truly gorgeous, and it was easy to forget that we were under the streets of Paris.”

The review also praises the character encounter on the street at the start, which bridges the real world and the world of the adventure.

The Crypt: “scary but approachable”

Next came The Crypt, our séance in the Count’s family crypt. Room Escape Artist describes it as “a scary but approachable horror experience”, a great place to start before moving on to more intense horror escape rooms. The team highlights the polished set design, which tells a story through every detail, and a character fully committed to their role.

The Last Knights Templar: “a grand adventure”

The last review covers The Last Knights Templar. Its opening sentence sums up what we have been aiming for since Le Donjon opened:

“Le Donjon has worked wonders in transforming a network of Parisian basements into an alluring medieval world.”

The team saw it as “a grand adventure”, low on horror and high on fun, perfect as an introduction to escape rooms or as a warm-up before a more demanding room.

A world to explore in any order

What pleases us most is that the team picked up on what connects our adventures. They recommend playing several, in any order, to see how the threads of the Count’s story relate to one another. And they say they look forward to coming back to play The New World in English.

All three adventures they reviewed can be played in French or in English. To play in English, choose that language when you book. We recommend booking at least one week ahead to guarantee an English-speaking game master.
